Renowned jewelry designer Jacques Limacher was born in Biel/ Bienne Switzerland in 1930. He apprenticed in Geneva before moving to New York City in the 1950s, where he worked for preeminent jewelers including Cartier, Tiffany & Co., David Webb, Van Cleef & Arpels and Harry Winston. Mr. Limacher spent over 30 years creating designs for Cartier while building an impressive rolodex of private clients who frequented his shop in the Diamond District. The designer gained acclaim for his technical skill and his work as an educator - including recognition from the prestigious Goldsmith's and Silversmith's Council in London. He is remembered for being charming, talented and generous with his time.
