The spine dulled, contemporary ownership signature, a small and faint stamp to corner of title, a fine copy overall; Together with a second copy of the same, 1858, first edition, publisher's cloth, this copy with interesting French newspaper clippings laid-in offering translations of John Quincy Adams (possibly the Adams-Onis Treaty), foxing.

Giddings' "severe attack upon the government of the United States for its complicity with slavery" - Sabin 27327. The lot 2 volumes.
