. London: 1861. Brown morocco, the front cover with the Harrow School emblem of crossed arrows tied by a ribbon, surrounded by a wreath, spine with the emblem in each compartment, later slipcase. With a fine concealed double fore-edge painting under marbling of New York (when viewed from recto) and Long Island (verso). 6 7/8 x 4 1/4 inches (17.5 x 11 cm); 242 pp. The pastedown bears a Harrow prize label. The fore-edges are far later than the binding, but of some vintage and well-executed; Together with DUDLEY, ROBERT. Secret Memoirs. London: Sam.[uel] Brisco), 1706. Period red morocco with gilt rules. With a concealed double fore-edge painting (attributed to Robert Parsons) of the Tower of London (when viewed from recto) and the Thames (verso) under gilt. 7 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches (19 x 11.5 cm); 118 pp. Boards detached; And three other double fore-edges. One with boards and spine detached, spine partly lacking.
