Southampton: [Privately printed by] Henry King, 1896. First edition, with a few original signatures within. Original leather backed boards. 12 1/2 x 10 1/2 inches (32 x 27 cm); illustrated with mounted photographs being portraits and views, large folding linen-backed chart at front. The binding rubbed, faint dampstain affecting the folding chart and its backing, generally clean within, bookplate of Aaron Matalon.

A privately printed work intended for family use regarding a plantation in Jamaica. In the ink signed preface Kerr notes that "here will be but few copies printed, and the type once destroyed, as it is no way intended for publication, but I shall have great pleasure inpresenting a copy to those whose kindly assistance has been of so much value to me." The large format book includes mounted photographs and a large family tree at front, resulting in a fine presentation.
