Limited edition, number 443 of 500 copies. Finely bound Sangorski & Sutcliffe in full brown morocco gilt. This the largest in the lot at 11 x 8 inches (27 x 20 cm); with mounted plates. Some spotting to first and last leaves, the upper joint starting; FLINT, WILLIAM RUSSELL (illustrator) and LONG, GEORGE (translator). The Thoughts of the Emperor Marcus Aurelius Antoninus. London: Philip Lee Warner, 1909. Limited edition, number 85 of 500 copies. Original vellum with green ties. Sized as previous. With mounted plates. Generally a fine copy; LONG, GEORGE (translator). The XII Books of Marcus Aurelius Antoninus, the Emperor. London: George Bell, 1900. Limited edition, number 102 of 325 copies. In a full Art Nouveau style brown calf binding gilt. Slightly toned, the covers with some staining, the spine lightly sunned; Marcus Aurelius Antoninus. London: Humphreys, 1908. Full morocco by Riviere, with gilt turn-ins and silk endpapers. The spine sunned, the joint starting; and The Meditations of the Emperor Marcus Aurelius Antoninus. Edinburgh: Schulze, n.d. [circa 1902]. Original boards with a paper spine label. Some wear, the endpapers toned.
