Rotterdam: Arnould Leers, 1658. First edition, but an imperfect copy. Modern leather backed marbled boards. 9 x 6 3/4 inches (23 x 17 cm); with the portrait, lacks the engraved title and at least two text leaves which are supplied in facsimile, illustrated with engravings within the text, retains the glossary of Caribe words. The first leaves and the portrait mounted, other wear and repairs, spotting and toning, incomplete as noted and sold with all faults.
