Etching and drypoint, circa 1657, a very good impression of New Hollstein's second state of two, on laid paper with a Strasbourg Lily watermark, with thread margins at bottom, other sides with thread margins or trimmed to or just within the platemark, framed.
Sheet 6 1/8 x 8 1/4 inches; 156 x 210 mm.

Lightstain and matstain, affixed at top sheet corners verso to back mat, some foxing, two small losses extending just inside the image at top, a 3/26 x 1/8 inch reattached area at left sheet edge, a speck of white ink in the image, old glue and paper residue at left and right sheet edges verso with some associated light abrasion, some areas touched up with gray wash, such as at the "black sleeve," framed with glass.
