The bentwood swing handle fixed with ebony pegs above the shaped basket with conforming hinged lid centering a carved ebony humpback whale, ebony toggle, solid wood bottom with the maker's name and an outline of the island, further lettered "MADE IN NANTUCKET." Height to top of handle 10 3/4 inches, width 7 inches, depth 5 1/2 inches.
