The braided leather strap above the oval basket with hinged lid centering a carved whale on an ebony plaque, bone toggle, rectangular solid wood bottom with the maker's name and an outline of the island, further lettered "MADE IN NANTUCKET." Height 6 inches, width 8 inches, depth 6 inches.
