John Solliday, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, circa 1770
The scrolled molded cornice ending in carved rosettes above an engraved brass and silvered dial with a bird in the arch above the chapter ring and maker's name "John Salate [sic]" and brass eight-day weight-driven movement below above a waist with narrow carved door flanked by fluted corner columns on base with cyma curved panel flanked by spiral carved corner columns all on ogee bracket base. Height 8 feet, width 19 inches, depth 9 1/2 inches.
