[Concord:] 7 January, [no year]. One-page autograph note signed "R.W. Emerson" on one sheet, the letter addressed to J.T. Fields, Esq., the note reporting that Emerson "will depend on you to come to dinner at 1 o'clock, as the custom of Concord is." 8 x 4 3/4 inches (20 x 12 cm). Usual folds, edges toned, remnant of mounting to verso, offered with two engravings.
