STEVENSON, ROBERT LOUIS Check signed from Vailima.
Vailima, Samoa: 22 March 1892. Check printed by Turner and Henderson, Sydney, accomplished in manuscript and signed "Robert Louis Stevenson." The check paying ten dollars to H.J. Moors. 3 1/2 x 5 inches (8 x 13 cm). Folds, mat stain, old tape along bottom edge, offered with a copy of a vintage photograph.
A scarce signed check by Robert Louis Stevenson, who moved to Samoa in 1890 and visited Sydney in 1891, likely when these checks were printed for his use.
