[NEW YORK] Ticket to the Opening Ceremonies of the Brooklyn Bridge.
New York: 24 May 1883. A ticket on thick card engraved by Tiffany & Co., with an embossed leaf emblazoned with the raised letters "NY & BB", the text reading "Opening Ceremonies/New York and Brooklyn Bridge,/May twenty-fourth, 1883./Admit One./This ticket must be presented at the entrance." 2 3/4 x 6 1/2 inches (7 x 17 cm). Extremities toned, light spotting.

A scarce Tiffany engraved ticket to the opening of the Brooklyn Bridge. The events of the day included speeches, bands, cannon fire, fireworks and notable attendees such as President Chester A. Arthur and New York's governor Grover Cleveland.
