Of shaped rectangular form, with a reeded and shell border, on foliate shell bracket feet, the center engraved with Royal Arms of George II, the reverse inscribed Given to George, Earl of Essex, by his godfather George the Second AD 1757. Length 18 3/4 inches (47.5 cm), approximately 110 ounces.
