Fabergé Gold Cigarette Case
Workmaster August Holmström, St. Petersburg, 1899-1903
Rectangular, reeded with a sunburst pattern emanating from one corner set with an enameled gold ruble coin with a profile of Catherine the Great, dated 1779, with a green leather slip case, in an associated wood case with alterations. Length 3 1/8 inches (7.9 cm), approximately 2.4 ounces (75 grams), all in.

In good condition. Light surface wear, consistent with age and use. The leather case is separating at seams on one side but is still intact. The Faberge wood case is original, but the velvet lined base has been refitted. It did not originally go with this gold cigarette case.
