Additional Notes & Condition Report
Craquelure; stretcher bar marks. Wear along the edges and canvas overlap. No inpainting visible under UV light.
The top layer, or more, of the original pigment has been cleaned off. This is especially the case in the lower left quadrant. Apparently, later in his career, Dabo sometimes used old canvases to paint on top of. This appears to be one of those canvases, as one can see traces of another painting beneath the current image. A restorer was employed some years ago to try and clean down to the original work and stopped short of completion.
Two estate labels affixed to the stretcher bar identify the work as no. 25 of the estate's inventory.
