LARTIGUE, JACQUES-HENRI (1894-1986) [Renée Perle, seated],
circa 1928, printed 1970s. Gelatin silver print, 13 1/2 x 9 1/16 inches (343 x 230 mm), signed (l.r.) together with Lartigue's sunburst (in ink) and his blindstamped initials (l.l.). No defects noted in raking light.
A fine portrait of Lartigue's ever-charming Riviera muse.
Provenance: Purchased from Sarah Moon in Paris. Norma Stevens represented Richard Avedon for thirty years, and her husband Martin (d. 2016) was an art and creative director for Revlon and other agencies.
