NEW YORK, NY -- Doyle's auction of Important Jewelry on June 22, 2023 saw dazzling jewelry achieve equally dazzling prices amid international competition. The auction was preceded by special previews in Doyle's galleries in Palm Beach, Boston and Beverly Hills.

With competitive bidding, the Important Jewelry sale totaled a remarkable $4,139,337, far surpassing its estimate of $1,983,700-3,028,500, with an outstanding 96% sold by lot and 100% sold by value.

Highlighting the sale was a stunning ring by Bulgari featuring a Fancy Intense Blue-Green Diamond flanked by two Fancy Intense Pink Diamonds that realized $1,058,500, more than double its estimate of $300,000-500,000. Property from a New Jersey Collector, the ring sold to a private collector participating via telephone.

The selection of high-carat-weight rings featured an exceptional Kashmir sapphire and diamond ring by Ramond Yard, circa 1930, centering a sapphire of 9.00 carats, that soared past its estimate of $30,000-50,000 to realize $289,800.

Fine wristwatches always attract attention at Doyle's jewelry auctions, and leading the selection was a unique example created by Vacheron Constantin in celebration of the Opera National de Paris that sold for $100,800, doubling its $40,000-60,000 estimate. The circa 2012 watch was engraved Hommage 'a W.A. Mozart and featured an enamel face reproducing the Opera's famed Chagall ceiling.
