Mintons Majolica Tortoise and Snail Teapot and Cover
Shape no. 629, date cypher for 1878
Naturalistically modeled gaping, the cover with shell and seaweed finial, the shell picked out in two shades of brown, impressed uppercase mark, Dand 3 raised registry diamond possibly (30-D-D-1) for 30 September 1878 and shape no. Height 5 inches, length 8 1/2 inches.
