Mintons Majolica Large Heron Umbrella or Stick Stand
Modeled by Paul Comoléra, shape no. 1917, date cypher for 1876
Standing naturalistically on one leg atop a rocky mound, holding a struggling fish in its beak, the stand formed by flaring reeds and bulrushes, lily pads and further foliage at the foot, raised on a circular dark green base, impressed uppercase mark, an A and shape no. black painted 8. Height 39 3/4 inches.
