Mintons Majolica Turquoise Ground Lobster Tureen and Cover
Designed by Matilda Charsley, shape no. 1523, date cypher for 1873
The shallow domed cover naturalistically molded with a large lobster resting among shells and seaweed on a rockwork ground, the conforming oval bowl flanked by shell-molded handles, impressed uppercase mark, S and shape no. Width overall 14 inches.
