Pair of Mintons Porcelain Models of Cockatoos
Model no.'s 1846 and 1847, date cyphers for 1875
Naturalistically modeled perched on a Y-shaped tree-stump, the sulfur crested example displaying his crest feathers, both plumed in shades of yellow, green, gray and red, on a mound base, impressed uppercase marks and IN and UP, the male with a puce printed crowned globe mark. Height 12 1/2 inches and 14 inches, respectively (2).
