Chippendale Walnut and Maple Bonnet Top High Chest
Salem, MA, circa 1760
The upper section with scrolled top, the molded cornice terminating in carved pinwheels above a central thumb-molded fan carved drawer and two short drawers above four graduated drawers set into lower section of long drawer and short drawers centering a similarly fan carved drawer on a scrolled and pierced apron joining cabirole legs with arris knees and projecting returns ending in claw and ball feet. Height 85 inches, width 40 inches, depth 21 inches.
