The badger paw motif was originally designed by Charles Loloma in 1979. Pierre Touraine, a renowned French jewelry designer who moved to Phoenix in the 1970s was drawn to the area due to his interest in Southwest inspired jewelry and subsequently trained and partnered with Charles Loloma.
