NEW YORK, NY -- Doyle held a successful auction of Prints and Multiples on April 25, 2022 that set World Auction Records throughout the sale. In all, the sale established fifteen new World Auction Records for Prints by Vija Celmins, David Hockney, Alex Katz, Roy Lichtenstein, Glenn Ligon, Joan Miro, James Rizzi, Eduard Wiiralt and Zao Wou-ki.

Three World Auction Records were achieved for prints by Alex Katz, including Ada with Flowers that soared past its estimate of $8,000-12,000 to realize a record $31,500. The 1980 color screenprint depicted the artist's wife, Ada, with a large bouquet of colorful daisies and a blue delphinium.

The popular Prints & Multiples auction category showcases fine examples of Old Master prints, Modern European prints, American prints and works by Contemporary artists. Also featured are ceramics by Pablo Picasso. Exciting opportunities abound for seasoned buyers and new collectors alike!
