[Seattle]: Lowman & Hanford Co., 1924 [but apparently 1925, from copyright]. First edition, this copy is unsigned, but it contains the presentation leaf not found in all copies. Publisher's green cloth gilt. 7 7/8 x 5 3/8 inches (20 x 13.5 cm); 90 pp.; plates after photographs throughout, marginal decorations of animal heads interspersed. Cloth a bit soiled, wear to extremities, contents with some faint intermittent dampstaining.

The first book by this enthusiastic bear hunter, in the form of a letter to his sister.
