Elaborately Cast Bronze Urn
Meiji Period, sealed Bo(?)zan
In two parts: the tripod foot is in the form of three shishi heads, the pendant lower jaws of which form the feet; the inverted bell-form body is delicately cast with ho-o and koma-inu between cloud bands and above a bottommost band of roundels on an ishime ground. Height 10 3/8 inches (26.4 cm).
