Letter signed ("Danl. Webster" on verso), signed secretarially on recto, one page with integral address leaf, 4to, 10 July 1816, to Lyman Law. Webster introduces George Woodward who will be visiting the New London area and discusses recent legislative proceedings: "The compensation tells well. The Legislature has proposed a resolve, & introduced by a Federalist." He writes of his hopes for the Federalists in the next Congress: "the chance of success I think small." Matstained. Framed with engraved portrait.
