Balenciaga Beaded Wool Evening Gown
Circa 1960
With strapless sweetheart bodice, the skirt straight in front, and flared towards hem at back, the dress embellished allover with scrollwork, vinery, fleurs de lis, and other plant forms worked in black velvet applique and variously shaped black beads, the underside of the separate shoulder capelet trimmed with turquoise velvet, size 6, labeled: Balenciaga/ 10.Avenue George V/Paris.
Very good condition, possible alteration at waist.
