Norell Luxe Brocade Coat Ensemble
1969
In the Russian style, a brocade coat of wine velvet woven with green and gold metallic pattern, with Russian crown sable cuffs and high collar extending down coat edge to hem, self belt, and a long sleeved chemise dress of red silk jersey sewn allover with flat gold sequins, size 8, labeled: Norell.
Very good condition.
The ensemble was featured in Eugenia Sheppard's July 17, 1969 New York Post article reporting on Norell's Fall 1969 Collection.
