Two Square Kashmir Shawls
Mid 19th century
The first woven with scrolling forms in predominant shades of burgundy, black, aqua and white, small black star center, embroidered arched border, signed in white, the second woven with large swirling cones and palmettes, in shades of orange, red, with white pieced leaf and scroll forms, embroidered border. Length of both 64 inches, width 64 inches.
The first very good condition, center torn, the second, tears in center and borders.
