Chinese Fahua Vase
Ming Dynasty, 16th century
Of baluster form, the exterior worked in turquoise, yellow and aubergine on a dark blue ground with figures in a landscape beneath pine trees, clouds and mountains in the distance, all between a lappet band at the foot and a cloud collar band at the shoulder each containing an auspicious symbol, the interior with a greenish glaze, with a carved wood lid, two stands and another wood lid. Height 13 inches.
