Chinese Archaic Style Bronze Fanglei
18th/19th Century
Cast on each shoulder with a wide taotie band above suspended two leaf darts, the sloping mouth and the base of the lid are cast with matching bands of birds on leiwen, monster mask handle and a foo lion finial, dark brown patination with slight aubergine overtones and spattering of black. Height 18 1/4 inches.
