Glue-lined. Scattered cracquelure. Visible stretcher marks. Canvas is slightly buckled, particularly in the figure's forehead. 1/8'' paint loss just above the man's ear as well as a 1/4'' loss at upper left edge. Heavy varnish makes it difficult to detect restoration under UV light.
