Craquelure scattered throughout. Stretcher marks visible. Dirty varnish and specks of surface dirt throughout. Stretcher bears stamp and fragments of a label from 'A. Ripka & Bro Artist Suppliers, 1525 Chestnut St., Philadelphia, PA' (Active 1886-92). 2-inch surface scratch in upper center, with loss of paint. Several pinhole-size losses throughout, particularly around edges. Pinhole-size puncture at lower center edge, where a nail has made impact with canvas.
