Japanese Bronze Tsuba
Late 19th century
Of oval form, shibuichi, cast in relief with crashing waves, one hitsu plugged with silver; Together with an Iron Tsuba. Of mokko form, with animals of the zodiac, all worked in low relief with gold, silver, shakudo and iron. Heights 2 3/4 inches.
