Frame rubbing, with paint losses at edges. Minor surface dirt, could use a light cleaning. There is a 3'' strip of canvas loss along the upper right edge. Heavy scattered cracquelure. Old and new restoration; condition commensurate with age. Relined. Large circular area of repaint above the Madonna's head, most likely a repaired hole.
Gilding on frame is quite fragile with some flaking. Minor losses throughout the frame. Size of the frame is roughly 36 x 30 inches.
