Of cylindrical form, the exterior deeply carved with faces with various expressions and masks, conforming lid; Together with a Shibayama Table Screen. Inset with mother-of-pearl and lacquered with bird and flower design. Height of larger 7 1/4 inches.

Shrinkage to ivory screen, top right corner of frame has a chip, both feet reglued, small areas of mother-of pearl loss.
