A letter from Lockhart is tipped-in to the first volume. 10 volumes, bound in three-quarters light-brown morocco, spines gilt, salmon cloth sides. 9 inches (23 cm), top edges gilt. Pages in unopened state, frontispieces present in both colored and uncolored form. Illustrations throughout printed on Japan paper, with protective tissue guards with descriptive legends. Minimal wear.
