Good, Large Ando Style Cloisonne Koro Meiji Period
Meiji Period
Resting on three stub feet and set with separate square handles, the koro is decorated with two large, shaped panels, one with a phoenix in flight and one with a stream rushing past banks of flowering kiku. This is all set against an elaborate ground of two panels of waves, kiku and butterflies. The domed cover is completely decorated with butterflies on a midnight blue ground and is set a kiku finial. Height 6 inches (15.3 cm).
