Fine Khmer Bronze Figure of a Supplicant, Possibly King Suryavarman II 12th Century
12th Century, possibly King Suryavarman II
The finely-cast figure is sitting on one foot and kneeling on one knee and with both hands in vitarka mudra. He wears elaborate jewelry and a grooved diadem with an engraved conical coif; the bronze with a soft, deep color and glow; base. Height 2 15/16 inches (7.5 cm).
