Frame rubbing. 2 x 3 inch patch on reverse bottom right to repair a 1 x 1 inch l-shaped tear, with corresponding area of inpainting. Scattered spots of inpainting, mainly visible in the background. However, there is a dulling varnish that makes the detection of any older restoration difficult. There does appear to be some restoration in the woman's face and chest. Dirty varnish. Surface thinned in areas from a prior cleaning.
