Hand-colored engraving, mezzotint and roulette by John Sartain, 1854, on heavy wove paper, pale lightstain, laid on card, some soiling and other discoloration outside the image, some unobtrusive scattered small abrasions, some abrasion along bottom sheet edge, two diagonal tears at left sheet edge (longest a 4 1/2 inch, extending to image edge), some creasing at top right sheet edge, bottom right sheet edge reattached with tape, trimmed to the platemark at bottom, otherwise in good condition, with good margins on three sides, framed.
