the mirror has English hallmarks for the city of London; rather than the striding lion symbol denoting the sterling standard it has an oval medallion stamped 958, denoting a slightly higher silver standard, together with a date letter and a maker's monogram; there are a few pins missing, which hold the mount into place against its back support; appears to be modern
