Collection of Bernice Tell, New York since 1989
According to a letter from Blakelock scholar Norman A. Geske dated September 4, 2009, "this is an unusual example of Blakelock's art - compositionally more open, more blue sky than is usual, spatial recession from front plane to horizon more fully developed. The handling of the trees is typical, note the sgraffito in the trunk of the tree at the right. The signature, although nearly illegible, appears right. I suspect that some careful cleaning would brighten the image considerably." We would like to thank Dr. Geske for his kind assistance in cataloguing this work.
Estate of Bernice Tell
