L.L. Bean Plaid Wool Sports Pants Circa 1898
Circa 1920
Of green, brown, tan, and black plaid wool, the wide legs tapering to narrow lacing at calf, button fly, braces, labeled: L.L. Bean/Freeport ME.
Very good condition, some moth damage at back left leg.
The pants are accompanied with two period photographs of owner ostensibly wearing the pants, one dated 1898. However, the label indicates the pants were made after 1912. They were possibly part of a warden's uniform from the 1920's.
