The recessed upper section with a rectangular top and arched back crest, above a conforming case enclosing a pair of cabinet doors opening to reveal two shelves over two short drawers, each door decorated with an oval medallion depicting a classical woman painted en grisaille against a lapis lazuli ground, flanked by fluted half columns surmounted by foliate finials, the lower section with a rectangular top and a folded panel opening to a fabric lined writing surface, over a frieze drawer, raised on slender cabriole legs with foliate chutes and sabots. Height 56 3/4 inches, width 31 1/2 inches, depth 18 inches.
