Attested on the back by Satomi Katsudo, Saeki Yuzo saku (made by Saeki Yuzo). Both Saeki Yuzo and Satomi Katsudo were students together in Tokyo and both studied in Paris under Vlaminck whose influence is clearly seen in the painting.

After Saeki's death in 1928, his wife Saeki Yoneko brought his unsigned works back to Tokyo from Paris. On the protective board accompanying this painting is an attestation by her stating that the painting was executed by her husband around 1926.
