. Thomas M'Lean, n.d. (circa 1835). The reissue of these fine plates, originally published by G. Humphrey, 1821, and rare in either issue. Three-quarters brown calf, cloth sides. 13 3/8 x 9 5/8 inches (34.5 x 25 cm); six hand-colored plates, all issued. Two plates with a minor repaired marginal tear outside the plate-mark. otherwise the suite is in fresh condition in a somewhat worn binding.
We trace only one set at auction in the past thirty years of Theatrical Pleasures, sold for 1,000 pounds in 2007.
