Full red Hermitage calf, title and press monogram in blind on the front cover, spine titled in blind. 13 1/2 x 7 3/4 inches (34 x 20 cm); unpaginated but [68] pp., printed in black and red; with 41 wood engravings by Blair Hughes-Stanton. Some rubbing to the extremities of the binding, several small chips to spine, internally fresh.
A classic example of English wood engraving of the inter-War period, this book is distinguished by Blair Hughes-Stanton's magnificent white-line wood engravings. Harrop 24; Zilverdistel 24; Penelope Hughes-Stanton 14.
